Vision

To be a world class provider of care for the destitute, frail and elderly.

Aim of organisation/mission

Our goals are to establish and maintain an Islamic-oriented accommodation, care and nurturing facility for the impoverished aged and the frail, employ staff, including nursing and general workers and administer the facility in a caring, cost efficient and compassionate manner for the benefit of all its residents.

Background

Beit-ul-Aman Old Age Home is a facility that cares for the impoverished aged and the frail. The facility is located in Mars Road, Wynberg since its establishment in 1967. The organisation is registered with the Department of Social Services and thus receives a government subsidy towards the operational needs of the institution. The Home is a registered Non-Profit organisation and is authorised to issue Tax Exemption Certificates for donations made to the Home.

At Beit-ul-Aman, we appreciate the contribution that the elderly made while they were young.  We want to ensure that the twilight stages of their lives are lived with pride, comfort and dignity. The institution can accommodate up to 72 people.  We are making a difference to 72 individuals by providing personal care, compassion and support during their hour of need. In addition to this, the Home is obliged to keep two beds (one male and one female) open for short stay needs of the Department on a 24 by 7 arrangement.
